Commercial Oils: Hexane Extraction

Most commercial oils are produced by Hexane extraction for economic and cost reasons. Hexane, a petrochemical substance/solvent is used to extract the oil from its oilseed. The oil is then exposed to high temperatures in order to separate the oil from the hexane, which results in the destruction of the nutrients and vitamins naturally present in the oil. In addition, small residues of hexane which are carcinogenic remain in the oil, and are very harmful to the health.

SLIM OIL Naturally Pressed

SLIM OIL, on the other hand, is produced by a naturally/ mechanically pressed process, which does not involve Hexane, and is not exposed to external heat. Therefore, more nutrients and vitamins are present in SLIM OIL naturally. Slim Oil is a 100% natural and pure sunflower oil, something that cannot be said of the other brands. In addition, the use of the naturally pressed process exposes the oil to less primary and secondary oxidation, and results in an oil that is “fresher” and trans-fat free.
